LENNY PEDERSEN

Publishing Director

Lenny Pedersen is a Publishing Director at Stirling Publishing Ltd and handles submissions, editing, typesetting, cover designing and promotion as well as overall company management.

He has a college degree in media graphics from his home country, Denmark, where he studied editing, graphic design and graphic printing. His lifelong passion for the written word, and that of putting it into book format, inevitably brought him into the world of publishing.

After having worked for a Danish newspaper company as well as on a variety of projects as a freelance editor pretty much since finishing school, Lenny established his own publishing company, Hermetic Science Enterprises, in 2012 under which he has been juggling four different imprints dealing exclusively with non-fiction literature of western esotericism—one of his life’s passions. He is also the author of the book The Ten Commandments of Alchemy: The Divine Laws of the Magnum Opus through the Cinnabar Path of the F.A.R.+C.

He has a legitimate love and passion for books—and through that also a sincere nerdy interest in editing, old-fashioned leather bookbinding and publishing—and therefore spends a large chunk of his free time with anything book-related; but besides this, he is also an avid practitioner of another life’s passion of his: the Afro-Brazilian martial art capoeira.

After having lived in Japan for more than a decade, Lenny moved to Scotland with his lovely wife and daughter in late March 2019 because of his romantic fascination with this magical country.  And now, this move has led him here to Scotland bringing his genuine enthusiasm for books and publishing to Stirling.

‘As I am a hardcore western esotericism geek, what really gets me going in the world of fiction is fantasy works centering around occultism—magic, alchemy, spirits… that kind of stuff.’
